DOLE Holiday Pay Rules
In the Philippines, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) strictly mandates how holiday pay is computed. The rules depend on whether the holiday is a Regular Holiday or a Special Non-Working Day.
Regular Holidays
- If unworked: You receive 100% of your daily wage.
- If worked (first 8 hours): You receive 200% of your daily wage.
- If worked on your rest day: You receive 260% of your daily wage.
Special Non-Working Days
- If unworked: "No Work, No Pay" principle applies (unless company policy states otherwise).
- If worked (first 8 hours): You receive 130% of your daily wage.
- If worked on your rest day: You receive 150% of your daily wage.
